How long do you think it takes to receive this rank ?

i received 500 points today so if i make a rough count :

1 week is 3500 points
1 year is 52 weeks is 182000 points
1/2 year is 26 weeks extra is 91000 points

i would say at least 1.5 years with normal play and not rank cheating ?

Around.... 10 years... Hard to get 500 points a day unless your plaing karkand anyways.
Think about this:
in AA, the game has been out for 3 years, and the person with the most hours of gameplay has like 3500.

In BF2, some medals and stuff take like anywhere from 2000-7000 hours of gameplay??? Absolutely rediculous there.

It would be a lot more fun if they'd lower everything so that it is actually reachable.

I was seriously expecting them to lower all the medal and rank requirements in the first patch very quietly without telling anyone because when I first saw them I was sure it was a big mistake...guess not.

You know what this means tho...they have like 4 more expantions planned, because thats the only way people are going to keep playing this game that long.

Best Players do 100-200 points in a game. Top ranked is at 35000+. Games been out for what a month? Do the math.

Well, more then 203 days. At my pace right now, 203 days will only bring me to Gunnery Sergeant.

I would really appreciate it if EA would lower the ranks a bit. That is kind of rediculous. I personally like the Wolfenstein Enemy Territory Ranking system. Its an ingame system where u get upgrades and you go up to like a 4 star general

Hmm, Knowing EA, you can only get rank up to Sgt Major in regulair BF2, but In BF2 Special Forces their will be room for advancement. So, theoretically, EA Could make a ton of unlockable items in BF2:SF and let them transfer to regulair BF2. All it would take it a patch.

a little off topic, but i posted here anyways

ive played with =|UH|=ryan, |LAB|Monkeymagic, and DiZoi (look here for leaderboards)and they seem to be armor whores, or blackhawk whores. ryan always goes in the blackhawk, and nearly everytime he's a support. dizoi tank whores. monkeymagic is a great, legit player from what ive seen

I like the current points setup, although I think there needs to be more ranks....and stats need to work on a consistant basis, lol.
