Very high ping

I just got another 512 stick of ram so now i have 1 GB of ram, but when i play BF2 online my ping jumps over 400 and lags very bad, anyone know what i could do to fix this problem?

just in this game? could be ISP instead of Game related issue....

I doubt its the RAM. I hope you made sure the modules matched :)

Also, this is an issue with the game. I get this occasionally as well, but Gamespy is having some issues with its shitty browser right now. I'm sure it will be addressed.....eventually.

well now when i first start the game, its fine the ping is around 40 and then about 5 minutes later it goes up to about 500, anyone else know what the deal could be

i have DSL, it never did this until i put another 512 stick in, all the specifications match, its just the brand thats different.

LOL! My in-game browser doesn't detect any servers running under like 200 ping for some reason after the 1.2 patch. Though when I join one my ping is actually like 20 to 40.

Gamespy sucks.

And I love how the glowing BF2 review on the Gamespy website fails to mention anything about the problems with the in-game browser :laugh:
