Please Help! Patch freezes on Installation!

This has prob been asked before, but please help me! I downloaded patch 1.02, and when I try to install it, it freezes on that little bar that says "Patching". Note that I have not installed, or have on my system, 1.01 patch.

u wait. when it says patching. u wait until it is done. it doesnt go by for one second. u need to wait for the file to be done. takes bout couple minutes. happened to me.

really? i waited about 10mins, but hey, with Splinter Cell Chaos theory, everyone complained about the patch freezing - i just waited 1/2 hour and it installed fine - prehaps thats the method?

EDIT: I forgot to mention, that it is not the progress meter i am talking about. I will try and get a piccy tomorrow.

The patch takes a while to install.

There is no progress meter just the game is patching or whatever it says.
I know I went to the washroom came back it was still like that so I went upstairs and got something to eat and came back then it was done.

patience. tht is the key my friend. patience. after 5 years for some dam internet. i finally got one. so patience. leave it on while u sleep. and if ur thing shuts off even though it was on. turn off stand by mode in ur control panel under power settings. and u need to click apply to make it go in to effect. i always forget about tht dam apply button
