try everything high except lighting, dynamic lighting, and shadows, AA 4x, then see what your FPS is to know if you can bump the other settings up.Comment

Looks like 45-82 FPS to me, that's pretty good, I don't like to get below 35 FPS myself. I use fraps for FPS so I dunno what those second numbers mean. You could try bumping up one or two of the other settings if you wanna. You should check out how low your FPS gets during an artillery strike, that should give you your minimum FPS.Comment

is higher or lower better? im guessing the higher the better right?
during an arty strike i got like 100 max good or bad?Comment

Higher is better, if your getting 100 FPS during an arty strike then you can crank up some more settings. Are you using a CRT monitor or LCD and what resolution are you playing at? Resolution settings make a big difference in how the game looks.Comment

For quality of your picture you want to set the game resolution at the native reolution of your LCD monitor, wich is probably 1280x1024. There is no option for 1280x1024 in game, but you can force that resolution. To do that just right click on your BF2 icon on your desktop, the hit properties. Where it says "target" you want it to read "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024
Then the next time you start BF2 it should run in 1280x1024Comment
