WiseGuys look here: BF2 causing lag, as it was spyware! :S

Hello everyone, im just gonna paste what ive tried writing in other forum's, but with no luck, nobody seems to be having this problem ?? But if anyone could help, i would be very happy

    my problem:
    ""
I play on the same computer, same connection and on servers from the same server provider.

When playing Counter Strike i have NO lag at all, so its not a problem with my connection!

When playing BattleField2 v1.00, i have no problems either!

But when i upgrade my BattleField2 to v1.02 i start getting lag, with ping constantly above 100 ms, where as the use to be under 20!!

It was the same problem with the buggy v1.01...

The real mystery is that other games and the same game in another version works fine, but BattleField 2 v1.02 just lags away! :S

Ive tried everything, updated all drivers, reinstalled several times even, opened the required ports in my router, but nothing seems to work! :S
Even updated punkbuster 3 times, 1 time manually....

    My specs are:
    Intel Pentium 4 - 3 Ghz
    1024 MB DDR ram (PC3200 (i think))
Radeon 9800 Pro - 256 mb DDR ram

Dont know what to do, im very desperate!
    ""

And its not my connection either, cause ive just been on another conn. where the problem was the same.

    Anyone know a solution..

    DxDiag export: http://www.hulu.dk/bf2/dxdiag.txt
    Patch log: http://www.hulu.dk/bf2/patchlog.txt

please please, need to fight my wars, or i'll have to start a real one :P

    Hmm... :|:
I have no lag problems with 1.02, quite the contrary. My games are MUCH more stable and I do not have any CTDs anymore.
What I had done was uninstalled 1.01 when I had them installed and played with 1.0 when waiting for 1.02.
When that came out, I UNINSTALLED THE GAME and then installed just 1.02.
    Issues fixed.

Wait for another patch and hope that EA addresses the network errors. Its not your setup and its not your connection, its BF2 itself. There has been all kinds of connection/network issues since the beginning.

        well, thats not good enough

I bought my game in the store, for hard earned money! I make clean install, check for registries! and use the same patch files as everyone else.. dont see why me version shouldn't work, "just because".. I WANNA PLAY

come on.. help.. maybe its punkbuster??? here's my punkbuster log:

could i try deleting everything in the PunkBuster directory, and then running the update again ??

I have no issues with lag, just my fps drop every so often for no reason.

                  You are so ignorant..

                  1. Uninstall BF2
                  2. Delete the bf2 folder
                  3. Defrag the hard disk
                  4. Reinstall BF2
                  5. Apply 1.02 patch (DO NOT APPLY 1.01)

                  Presto

defrag REALLY HELPS. go to my comp>right click on the drive ur using(C: drive, D: drive, etc.)>properties>click tools> then click defrag. it may take long. but worth it.
