Commander points

So what exactly gives you points as a commander? I was playing Strike at Karkand the other day and was commanding alongside my troops and got 37 points Damnit if I didn't need 40 for that ribbon, anyone know what gives you commander points?

First, try to use forum search as much as possible so threads aren't repeated

Second, commander score is an average of your team members overall score minus the points for you teamkilling your own peeps.

Best way to get the ribbon is to pick a map and a team that usually have high amounts of points overall (BH whore scores on the city map for example)

go find a bush at the boundaries of the map. Lay down and command from there.

Here's a tip. Do a scan before you use artillary, once the scan is complete, you will see were there are enemy troops. Strike the high concentration areas with artillery. Make sure you warn your own team because even though it says on the map, some dumbasses still go on. Use UAV as much as possible. Use it wherever there are big clashes between ur team and opposing. Use artillery as soon as it reloads. Throw supplies out to random people, that is UNLESS people ask for supplies, then send it there.

Arty kills have nothing to do with commander score, only the average of the teams total score. Try it, even with 10art kills you can have 1 pt.

A few times I've jumped into games almost finished on the winning side and realized no one was commanding and become the commander. On the other side, trying to command a team of useless fools is probably the most fustrating things in the game. When you consider TKing your teammates with Artillery it's time to find a new server. I generally only command when I have too and nobody else will.

Arty kills (non team kills, of course) do or course count towards removing tickets from the other side. I have made the last winning kills with an Arty strike before. And this was with a very very close match, where we were 1 vs 2. I made a strike that killed 2. We won. Wheeeee!

Oh, yeah, you get 2x bonus for being on the winning side.
