Well I am in a squad. When I die I usually try to spawn where the Squad Leader is. Well I wait but then once the Squad Leader dies and I can't respawn at his point now i have to wait for over 8-10mins. I just have a overview shot on the players on my team now so i just run around with them like on CSS. Is this a bug or what?

So when your squad leader dies, you jsut choose another spawn point or just wait until your squad leader spawns back again, which takes 15 seconds. -
well when I die i hit the green box. Well during the countdown he dies so i have to select a new one. WELL while it says select spawnpoint up top. I can not select anything. i just sit there waiting for about 8 minutes then i hit the V key or C key and i can select any player on my team and i can go into a mode where i can follow him like CSS or just scan the whole map like CSS...its weird...so basically i have to wait 8 mins to respawnComment

your team needs a spawnpoint to do it,
if you dont have a spawn then you cant spawn,
it's not a bugComment

That is weird. I didn't know BF2 had a chase cam. When the screen says, "select spawn point", that's when you hit the enter key and the little radar circle map in the upper right corner of the screen goes full screen and show's you all the available spawn points. If your team doesn't have a permanent spawn point and also doesn't control any control points, then yeah, I could see having to wait a few minutes before you could spawn, but not 8-10, because in that case, your team's tickets would run out becuase the game knows that the whole team is dead and there are no spaw points. It's like checkmate in chess, the other team has you trapped.
Try hitting the enter key next time to see if the (what I call) pick a point screen comes up. Make sure that you have the left half of the screen's tab called "Kit" selected and not the "Squad" tab selected. You can't pick a spawn point when viewing the "Squad" tab.Comment

yeah its crazy. We have at least like 4 on Strike at Karkand then i would die then i would most likely like to spawn at the squad leader but then he dies so it tells me to select another point but the respawn screen doesn't come up and i have to sit and wait...then i hit the V key or C key and i go to a chase cam......then after a certain amount of time the spawn screen will pop up. ... This really bugs the hell out of me....Comment
