Interesting. I chose not to install gamespy arcade since the beginning, and BF2 has worked fine for me at medium settings. If any others can verify this, that'd solve most of the problems around here.

You don't need to install GameSpy Arcade at all, its just bundled software. The in-game broswer will work regaurdless.

No, I know what I said. GameSpy Arcade is included with all EA games as bundeled software. It is however not required for the game to work, as the in-game broswer is also powered by GameSpy, BUT doesn't need a seperate program installed. (which leads many people to believe you must install the GameSpy Arcarde, which is false, but thats exactly what EA wants to make you think).

i never install gamespy n i worked fine for some time, my problems belong to other issues now :-)
