Good points. I've never been switched as commander, but 4-5 times as a squad leader. Grab the lone wolf's first (they will always be there) then start into squad members if necessary.

I got switched like 1-2 minutes from the end of a match from my squad.
The best squad was of course the one I had led for the past 15 minutes.

Yes, smack around the Lonewolf types first leave the squads and commanders alone.

              That is not automatically true.

If everyone forms their own squad (as has been happenignmore and more of late on servers I've been on) then they are all either Command or SL.

Also, if once the game starts with enough people, all the squad members and lone wolfs drop out then there is a possibility of only SL and Commander being left.

If there HAS to be a autobalance (which I think should only happen after each round-- not mid-game) then the priority for move should be:

No transfers at all if the smaller team is winning the ticket race.

              lone wolf
squadmember (starting with shortest time in game/on server)
Squadleader (starting with shortest time in game/on server)
              Commander

However, my preference for team blaancing would be to have the server perform one team balancing at the beginning of the game and call that good enough. In fact, I think it's dumb that we can't select our teams, squads and loadouts between maps. 10 years ago we had this technology in games, why did EA throw it away?

This has been mentioned many times, and although i dont even know if EA sees these forums, i'll say this: Yes commanders and squad leaders should NOT be switched. But whats that mean? Every server is gonna have 10 squads with one leader just so they dont get switched? No, any member of a squad should be immune as well. In addition, players with high score on a server should not be switched. Only low scoring lone wolves. And if there are none.. then it should no longer ignore high scoring lone wolves. At any rate, I belive the system of autobalence in this game is a bad mark on games record. Its not difficult, other games systems worked fine, so why they decided to mix it up and screw it up so badly, im not sure, but it needs to be fixed..

I was switched once as squad leader to the chinese team and there was only 6 tickets (why do they call them tickets anyway) left. Oh man was I ticked. I just didn't spawn, because I wanted my team (USMC) to win. It was a close hard fought round and I was dissapointed that I couldn't help my team see it through.

I think having autobalance is a good thing. Otherwise when the teams got out of whack, half of the players wouldn't even respond to requests to switch. Here's an interesting solution. The game forces the commander to pick x players to be switched to the other team, and if the commander doesn't pick them, he gets switched along with the highest scoring squad leaders. Boy that would really screw things up if the commander didn't do his job.

Switching the lowest scoring lonewolfs would result in a highly unbalanced game, why do you think players leave in the middle of a map? Because they suck and their team is loosing bad. If you stick all the sucky players from the winning team on the losing team, the team balance (skill wise, not numbers wise) will be way off.

                    Order...
                    1. Lone wolves.
                    2. Low scoring squad mates.
                    3. Repeat as necessary.

                    The autobalance sucks anyways...

I don't know about taking the lowest scorers to the other team. That would be like rewarding the winningest team the first round pick in a draft. It wouldn't maintain balance between teams in some instances.

For example many people leave servers when they can't respawn because the other team has all points. The next round would be so unbalanced with all the low scorers on one team.

I realize that I'm rather vervose in my posts, so I'll forgive you for not reading the last paragraph from my previous post. However, I already covered this point.

The autobalancing should only be done between rounds. Also it should only be lonewolves regardless of score and a full squad not just a member. Squads are squads regardless of what team they're on. I play with a squad because we'll work good together. Getting swapped over teams mid-round to try defending the same assault you were just a part of gets a bit confusing and annoying.
