Alright i am trying to stick on some c4 on a tank. I put one on, then the other. Seems fine right? Well then i go to my controller and i hit the left mouse button, out comes the c4 bags agian. This was not an error on my part, it has happened several times. Please tell me if anyone else has experianced this. Thanks.

CPU: 64 pentimu 4
OS: 64
G card: 6800 pro with a 128 ram upgrade
driver: 5.4 i believe (the newest catalyst)
sound card: not sure but i dont think it pertains
RAM: 512 of pc 2700 ddr 333
Installed on a recently fragged D (secondary) drive.

yea i have had that problem a lot lately (as i only started using spec ops regularly.

its as frustrating as hell because its usually an emergency when you go to use it and it leaves another block instead of detonating. Even more annoying that unwanted c4 ends up next to a team mate usually.




but on an unrelated not that is a bizarre computer system you have.
a 6800 is an NVIDIA card and 5.4 catalyst are ATI gfx drivers :)
There is no such thing as 64 motherboard, nor 64 pentium :)

and usually fragged drives are a very bad thing :)

Yes i for once have also been ****ed off by the c4 problems. One Example: On the map Strike at karkand I toss some c4 around the flag, the enemy troops pull up in a loaded vehicle sitting at the flag, i move form my hidden position and hit the left mouse button to detonate the c4 when "pop" out comes another pack of c4 and the gunner wastes me........ I really hope this c4 problem is fixed in the upcoming patch its very annoying , especially when a tank is spawn raping your team and u finally get some c4 on it to have this stupid problem and get run over instead of detonating.

I have this problem alot when I play spec ops. Typically it happens when I'm jumping and throwing a C4 but it does happen others still.

The good news is, the C4 you threw before it will detonate if another C4 goes off next to it. I've thrown one on a lightly smoking APC to have it fail and throw another. When it exploded, it almost destroyed a nearby T90 (dark grey smoke). It did ALOT more damage to the T90 then one C4 pack 5 feet away should, but it did about right though for two C4 packs.

The same thing has been happening to me. In fact, I was just about to make a new thread to report the problem. It happens a lot when I've just planted c4 on a tank and I'm about to detonate. When I press the detonate button, *POOF* more c4 randomly falls on the ground. By now, the tank has seen me and I'm too close to the c4 I didn't mean to plant to detonate without killing myself, and I wind up getting killed by the tank. Its really annoying, and I hope it gets fixed in a future patch.

C4 is a nightmare, it's driving me mad and wasting my scores. I threw a C4 pack out of a fully loaded Blackhawk and instantly detonated it, killing all 6 of us.

C4 will detonate when throwing out last pack you have, while the thing is still in mid thow no less, and kill you and everyone nearby. No double-click, no lag, just blows up in yer face! Fix it.

C4 changes from detonator to C4 again when trying to throw only 1 pack and quickly change to detonator, usually when trying to take out a vehicle quickly. You end up throwing more C4 instead of detonating, and when you finally get to the detonator and it stays, you blow yourself up and everyone nearby or are killed before you even get the chance. Fix it!

the c4 sucks . period , I havent found any other gun i have to HOPE works when im using it...... and guess what? half the time it doesnt....

Wait until the animation is done of him whipping out the controller, although it may seem like the animation is done, it isnt look very closely and then push the button, this will better your chances of you not popping out another C4. I know this is hard to do, as you usually just have a reaction to just detonate, but be calm and wait a second or too, then push the button. Bunny hop whithin that second or two to avoid being shot.

I've had plenty of times where I pressed the button and the stuff didn't explode. It's annoying since most of the time you need it to explode right then and there, otherwise it's a waste.

Well, it just makes me mad that I see people all the time just toss and detonate within a second, while the C4 was still in the air.
