Is it just me or does it seem once you hit lance corporal your score takes for ever to advance

It's not just you. I realize one needs 10K+ points to get to LCpl, but man that's a lot. At the rate I'm going, it will take me months to get to that rank. Good incentive for me to play as commander or medic I guess. I only have the opportunity to play 2-6 hours per week.

Some times I lament the whole point system. Instead of enjoying the game as it was meant to be played I worry about how many points I have and if I'm playing the right kit to maximize the time I have to spend playing. Maybe I should give up the point chase and just play on non ranked servers. At least that way I'd be able to get onto a low ping server during peak hours.

The ranking system is absurd. The amount of points required for the majority of the ranks is rediculous. Honestly, most NORMAL people with a life will never even make it close to Sergeant.

Yeah, stick up for the normal guys. This game was released nearly a month ago on 6/22 right? I know it's summer time, and those not in school and not working and without responsibilities or responsible parents have 24/7 to play this game. And that's about the only way you can get to those top 50 slots on the leaderboard. 35K points in a month?! I got this game on 7/1, and for me, I've played a lot. Granted, my first few days were on non ranked servers 'cause I didn't realize I had to pick a ranked server to get my score tracked, but still, in the hours upon hours that I've played, I've only got about 2,300 points. For me it's pointless to persue higher ranks (except for the weapon unlocks), I'll just play for fun, it's the team work that attracted me to this game anyway, not seeing how high I could get on the leaderboard.

I agree i have played this game more than usual and i dont understand how guys are already at the higher ranks ... im not horrible but im not great.... dont think i should look for the next rank in hi authorty... wonder if they made it that hard for money or to just see how many guys would actually lose their lives for the game

Its not "easy" for a reason. Those who really want to play the stats game can really, truely play the stats game in BF2 for gods sake, look at how long it takes global hours to get some ribbons and badges it takes over a year.

Its a good system. None of the Private today Sergeant tomorrow BS.

I think they should make the weapon unlocks occur much more quickly. Have it take a long time for the actual ranks, that it fine.

Also, they should give a weapon unlock at the first rank up. Currently you don't get a wep unlock.

Honestly, I don't care about being in the high ranks, I just want to be able to use all the weapons in multi player without having to change identities all the time.

here is what you do, become medic or support, and just revive and give out ammo, make that your PRIORITY

don't worry about killing people, just lay out the support bags, and revive when possible, you'll proceed much faster
