A good helicopter pilot would have the presence of mind to avoid cloggin up the runway. Yea I know it's right there but u should know at any time a jet could come screaming down to reload. Especially on that map with the bombers reloading frequently. At the same time the jet pilot should be aware of his surroundings. I'm constantly checking my mini map and sometimes even use the big map to see what's up.

its insanely easy to avoid a chopper on a runway... the planes are 100X more manueverable than the black hawk...no matter if you're running away from something ... you have your sight and the map to help you out

In the water, the sailboat has the right of way over a motorboat, simply because it is slower and less easily controlled as quickly. Helicopters should have the right of way in bf2. Also Dice should just design it so it doesn't happen. It can occur on any maps with carriers, as they are idiots and except on dragon valley put the helicopters on the far side accross the runway.
