As many have said here, beeing resuplied doesn't make your mines/C4 dissapear !!! I did it many times: put mines, get a supply guy for 5 more mines, wait someone blows up and put back some mines whitout loosing those who are allready set (if you keep it at 5 of course). It's faster as you don't need to wait for a supply guy or a crate, you can directly set back some mines on the road.
Stupid support ...

First I've heard of this...but then again I don't really use the engineer class..too many team kills with those damn minesOriginally posted by PatroneHappened on KarKland:
As engineer i was laying mines to defend a strategic spot - layed my 5 mines, layed meself down waiting for the enemy vehicles to near me comes such an idiot with a supply pack and resupplies me - my mines on the road disappear so i need to redo to it... did this for 4 times... the suppy-guy kept coming back resupplying - told him not to do this because my mines would disappear - he kept coming back - no matter where i did hide - he was just resupply-whoring-stat-points without any notice for the game play - for my opinion: mines should only be resupplied if actually exploded...

5, As far as i know.Originally posted by Psychomines don't disappear unless u get re-supplied then continue to lay more than 6 over all on the map
And by the way, the mines not disappearing until they blow up would mean that a guy could single-handedly (with a bit of help from a support or supply crate) create a mine field with 100s of mines. do you think that would be good?Comment

I thought it was 5 mines as well, not 6 but I could be wrong. Still, some people do get a bit carried away with the support role at times. I play as support mainly and had morons come up and try to give me ammo packs....DUH !Originally posted by A. Smith5, As far as i know.

If they're new, cut them some slack, otherwise do as you did, although if they won't listen, pop a slug in their butt. :pComment

You could have 5 mines/C4 placed at all and resupplying won`t make you mines/C4 disappear. Only placeing 6th mine/C4 or 3rd claymore would replace your first one. In BF42/Vietnam your mines/expacks/c4s stay for a short amount of time(6 minutes) now they stay till you die or disarm them(or someone passes over). I have forgotten the exact amount of placable expacks and mines for bf42 but there was a limitation as far as I remember for Vietnam It was 12-14 C4s at once.Comment

I watched the road after the guy resupplied me - my mines vanished - besides that - the idiot supplier did run around with the packs on the battlefronts as if he was selling icecream... No-one wants to get in a situation where he is trying to hide himself not to get the attention of the enemy and such a morone walks straight to you uncovering your hide-out because he wants to give you an unneeded supply-pack...
As is said the damn stat-whoring moves people into the dark side of gameplay...Comment

I wish I had a support guy that was that helpfull. Ive been playing BF2 since it cam out, and only 2 times in like 40+ hours of gaming, has a support guy ever givin me ammo. Ive followed them around for like 5 mins, shooting over thier heads, spamming the radio comms 'Need Ammo !'. One guy even stopped, turned around, looked right in my eyes, and then ran away again !
Its nearly impossible to get re-supplied in this game anymore. Get killed though, and out flock the vultures ...Comment

that would be so funny. can just imagine somebody running away shouting 'NO NO NO!' and a supply guy chasing them w/ an ammo box crying ' I JUST WANT TO HELP YOU!'Originally posted by Patrone- i ran away from him at the end but he followed me.
