I´ve just made some caps at high and medium settings of the same frames and I saw absolutly NO difference. Not an objects like Trees, rocks, Walls or sandbags nor any difference on a vehicle like the capped Humvee. No better textures and no bumpmapping at all.
These caps are made on the Gulf of Oman map (16) around a few meters of the USMC base. With all on high and 1024x768. It would be cool If you could post some caps of the same frames with your high settings. I just have the feeling that something isn´t working an my machine...
                      Thanks for your help!!

Texture filtering should make the difference for those rocks, walls etc. Try turning that up.

Try to remove all the folders inside the "cache" folder in :

                          C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache\

then start up battlefield and load up a map.
