It's called $$$, not morals. Russia is so strapped for cash right now it's not even funny. They were against the war in Iraq because they were owed billions of dollars by the Iraqi government. If you think any country on earth truly does anything for the sole reason of "morals" then you are living in la-la land. This includes the US also. The war WAS over oil, but not in the way most people think. America is not taking the oil, we are still buying it. What was at issue was the stability of that region. With Saddam in power the stability of the entire region was at risk, and with that a large world oil supply was at risk. America went to war to stabalize that part of the world because of the strategic importance of their oil. At the same time the war was about getting rid of a ruthless dictator, since he was the cause of the instability.

This reminds me of another issue, Chechnya. The Russian government has been at war with Chechnyan "rebels" for years. These rebels want independence just like the rest of the former soviet union got after their fall. Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and others all got their independance after the fall of the soviet union, but not Chechnya. Why? Oil. So the Russians are no more "moral" than anyone else.

Your ignorance is outstanding. From what I've heard is that it's 20,000 CASUALTIES... 20K Wounded, killed, or un-accounted for. The number of dead is usually less then half of the total casualties, and 10K is very different then 100K

On the last part you're absolutely wrong. The chechanian rebels were funded by the US government and Britian (secretly, not many people know about the truth) to do terror actions in Russia. They killed civilians, the slowly got hold of Russian land.

If it wasn't for Russia, chechnya would even have existed, so cut the crap about them needing independence. As if it's bad to be part of Russia. Sure go a head and give them independence.

Look at whats going on with other countries that were ex-soviet. Most of them are in poverty. Then again, while under the soviet union, they were much better off.

By the way, the chechen conflict could have been prevented, but that ******* jew, Berezovski didn't take peaceful measures.

And guess what?! He was banned from Russia because he had done so much s**t, he owned big oil companies, he earned so much money, pumped so much money out of russia, didn't pay his workers billions. What he did was: Just fled russia and simply got a citizenship in Britain. There he is defended. In many places he is considered criminal.

I'm not defending any government in any country, but seems like Putin is the only president in this world that is on the right track.

Well, I did a quick google search as I read this in magazines and other places were you usually won't find the truth.

and don't call me ignorant, because you infact could be the ignorant one.

here is a link that says 100,000 civilians were killed.
No there is a link to an article that says a group has done a statistical analysys of the death rate in Iraq and their extrapolation suggested that an extra 100,000 civilians had died. It also states many other things, such as the fact that most other estimates are significantly lower, a number of other 'expert groups' view the new estimate to be wildly inflated, and that the group which published the study itself admits there are some weaknesses in their data collection.

Also worth noting is that the group publishing the report was very careful to point out that the casualties were caused not by extraordinary attacks intended to attack civilians, but were the result of the normal conduct of war. This is how they chose to say 'most of the deaths were because the Iraqis were not evacuated from the vicinity of war targets' and 'many of the Iraqi military's installations were purposely situated to force collateral damage in the event of an invasion.'

The chechanian rebels were funded by the US government and Britian (secretly, not many people know about the truth) to do terror actions in Russia. They killed civilians, the slowly got hold of Russian land.
Right. The US and UK governments want to undermine the Russian democratic movement. That must be why so much effort has been put into keeping relations on friendly terms even with the disagreements over things like Russia's varying stance on Iraq (they were all for the first war, but didn't feel like finishing the job) and why helping Russia's economic development has been part of both nations' policy over the past years. Its because they want to terrorize a nation which is a complete non-threat to their interests.

By the way, the chechen conflict could have been prevented, but that ******* jew, Berezovski didn't take peaceful measures.
This is where your claims to validity really start falling apart. First the Masons rule the world and then the UK and US have it out for everyone and are apparently trying to bring down friendly nations as well as ones hostile to their interests, so we know you're already so convinced that everyone else has been brainwashed that you don't realize how irrational and ill-founded your own beliefs are. Now you start mixing racism into your fantasies... I'd almost think you were one of the type who strut around in the Carolinas flying the flags and wearing the symbols of dead regimes in a continued tribute to the worst lunacies they represent if it weren't for your supposed concern for the plight of the helpless (as well as your apparent admiration of Putin, who I wouldn't be surprised has dreams of a return of the hammer and sickle judging from a few of his current initiatives, and of the former Soviet Union).
Why don't you go help out in Africa then if you guys are so righteous?
Hmm let's see not only does this chip away at your already thin "I'm an American I just don't like what the country is doing" facade (You're making an awful lot of grammatical errors of the sort I usually notice when I'm talking with my friends from Europe who have spent a good deal of time studying and working with English but still get hung up a little on some of the differences in the way sentences are structured and various changes in word form) but it shows that you truly are ignorant if you aren't aware of the fact that there are swarms of aid workers running around Africa, many of whom are (you guessed it!) American, and that there is a huge amount of US Federal funds being sent over as foreign aid packages. Or perhaps you were suggesting we invade all of Africa rather than invading Iraq? Or just the areas that you personally feel warrant invasion? And just what do you expect the military to do once they get there, apart from get stuck in another Somalia-type situation and have to repress insurgents, stabalize regimes, and set up governments to replace ones which have failed or which are blatantly abusive to their people? Good luck accomplishing that on only 100,000 'civilian' casualties, especially if you intend to really stick it out and make sure things are settled down and set up so whatever governments are left or set up can actually function. As the French have been learning recently, if you aren't willing to play Napoleon you aren't going to make any better headway with your military in sorting Africa out than the Africans are already making, and you'll usually just make things worse.

Bin Laden's image was made by the FBI. He is still in contact with the FBI. The U.S. Army had Bin Laden once, but the government told them to release him.

The masons are doing well, very well, because I see people like you every day.

Let me guess you also think that USA won the war. If you do then, you perfectly fit into the average joe american.
good god this human being is weak minded.

What do you consider are books that are good for the public? The book about how 911 was a conspriacy written by the french *******? Or maybe the many quality books by Michael Moore.

HHAHAAH, do you wanna judge countries by what they did a long time ago? Okay, then why arent we still enemies with germany, japan, italy, and russia? O yea, because that happened a LONG TIME AGO. Did you forget the time we saved france from talking german and wearing swastikas?

watch farenheit 911 much? Of course the fbi is in contact with the fbi, the millions of bucks and manpower spent looking for him is a diversion. And yes, finally your right. We could've caught bin laden before, but the CLINTON administration stopped it.

You french amaze me with stupidity. In history, you once tried to change the calendar to a 10 day calendar and forced the christians to adopt it. French revolution. Enough said. One time, a french scientist offered a hefty ammount of money to the first person who could find extraterrestrials, but they cant be from mars, because according to him, its well known there are aliens on mars. A french man offered 100,000 dollars to disprove his theory that bush planned 911. What the **** is the point of that? Wouldnt that money be better spent on the VICTIMS of 911?

And of course, to top it all off, since you cant support your mumbo jumbo theories with any proof or show any examples of them happening in real life, you just say everyones a big secret orginization. Real complex theory there.

dear lord what happened to this thread.

back on topic: i don't think it should have been put on the pack, i understood in BFV because of the influence of Full Metal Jacket and the US armies inability at the time to control its enlisted men (eg. Fragging) but IMO i don't think it has enough relevance or is really appropriate as i don't think the army would allow customisations of uniform and equipment
