I have a Microsoft sidewinder pro... the only question i have is there a button for retracting landing gear or is that automatic??

I think it's automatic...if it's not, I never retracted it.

start a single player game and play one of the maps with helo's or planes and youll get better practice, especially if you set the bots to a low skill level.

the maps in sigle player i know of that have these things are

Dalian Plant - attack chopper, only one for which every team caps that flag.

Daqing Oilfields - attack chopper, one each side.

Dragon Valley - attack chopper, one each side.

Operation Clean Sweep - airplane, one each side. usa has blackhawk as well.

Zatar Wetlands - attack chopper, only one for which every team caps that flag.

im a crap pilot in chopper or plane but since i have practiced on single i have suprised myself and others online more often than not.

I fly better with a joystick. The jets at least.

You can bank without picking up the mouse and all that cool stuff. Just takes some practice and getting used to. Now I don't get shot down in dogfights as easy and can shoot others down way easier.

ya since i started using my joystick i went from a .6 fr in the aviator class to a 2.4 in 2 months... its trial and error for the bombing though

Attack 3 is a great joystick. So comfortable. I'm #36 pilot so its goooood!

the attack 3 has no twist function thats ya problem

The Landing Gear retracts automatically, and to the guy uses the Twist Handle to Roll, thats pretty unorthadox most people assign to the rudder to the twist handle how does it work out? Is it just a case of recalimitising? I would personally never get used to it, been Flight SImming for 4 years don't think my habits are going to change now :)
