I have Comcast here in Minneapolis and I get a 4 mb download/380 kp/s upload speed. I played on some Comcast servers yesterday and they ran fine, no lag :)

Comcast is probably just renting the servers through SCI.

They seem to have attracted the exploiters already.. Was on Kubra Dam as MEC at the start of the round. I spawned at the hanger and some moron was trying to parallel park the jet or something, so I hung around and enjoyed the show. Then I see a USMC dude laying in the corner, so I try shooting at him but my shotgun was no match for his SAW at a distance. I die. Ok, fine, guess I won't fly tonight, so I go pick a new spawn point and hit enter to wait out the time.. Then I am revived.. nice, a medic shot the USMC dude and revived me. Then I hear the firing, get killed, and hear a medic yelling clear. Guessing I've been setup for that medic exploit crap, I just bring down the console and type "quit" before I'm even revived again.

Sigh. Had been having fun for a couple rounds before that, but I'll go to admin'd, random clan servers to avoid that nonsense. Rather put up with a crazy admin than cheating morons.

Right for half of them. Other half seem to be at ThePlanet in Dallas. I posted a question on the Comcast forums asking about them...

.... wonder where this thread will land next since it isn't really related to server support, except wondering why Comcast would lease 30+ boxes and put bf2 servers on em :)

I played in a Comcast server, my stats didn't immediately update, but when I came on today all my points were there.

That's good to hear. I got a ribbon on one of their servers that hasn't shown up yet, hopefully it will in the morning.

OK, how long do Comcast's servers usually take to update? It's been 12 hours and I still haven't got it.

Good question about points updates... Comcast must Batch their Scores, because the 2 nights ive played on them, it took about 48 hours for that chunk of score to appear. But other servers updated at rounds end.

They always update fine for me after maps, but the one I played in yesterday was real laggy
