no i have an area51m. laptop. it was the 5500 series. the one right before the new 7700 series

Oh haha, well still try the latest drivers from ATI, see if that helps, I know the mobilitys have a different architecture, but I'm not sure why it owuldn't run.

no no no no no no...... it should not be the moble stuff. in my "need help... look here" post... i forgot to put this in. i heard tht some alienware has some thing tht prevents it from running bf2. u need to disable something. i couldnt put tht in my post because i need to noe wht is wrong. i will update my thread once i figure it out.

message 'Could not find socket'. To work around this issue disable the
card and use the nForce card that came with your AlienWare PC.
