Well read the post and go to the website and you'll know what its about.

Do you have any previous modding experience, and do you have any maps you can show me?

The BF:Corps site is down so it'll be a little hard to see what it's about, but I'll try explaining it:

There were 2 sides in the mod, an Eastern company and a Western. Of course they were in war and fighting each other, nothing really special until you come to the point of a Commander and a 'basebuilder' (don't know the exact name, I'll just call it basebuilder). The Commander still does the same as the one in Battlefield 2, but the basebuilder can actually build a base and research technologies. He can research in 3 different eras: Vietnam, Present and Future, each with it's own technologies and vehicles. Of course he has to get money somewhere and I thought he gained that from oilreserves and his soldiers killing others. So, as r-karsk said, the game would rely heavily on the Commander and even more on the basebuilder. I hope I haven't forgotten anything...

That explained I'd like to help you with any planning etc. and I can make technical sketches (I can draw people aswell but they don't look really good ). If you want my 'application' btw, it's in http://forums.totalbf2.com/showthread.php?t=1706, also a lot of other people how are interested in there.

So what's going to be the thing that makes it say 'corporations' instead just two regular armies?

And to those still looking for mod ideas how about a World War 1 1/2 mod kind of along similar veins to Codename Eagle and Crimson Skies?

Regular armies just get the cash from the government, corporations have to do something before they actually get money. And about the mod idea, sounds fun but it's a whole different thing than Vietnam, Now and Future so I don't think he'll use it...

Btw, maybe you should remove your first post, now you've double posted

You've pretty much got it down Mr Cheasy. What I meant about the vietnam thing was... if we're simply unable to code buildings etc into the game, and we have some vietnam models we can simply then use the vietnam models already made in a vietnam mod. Everything else would pretty much have to be done from scrath.

Edit: One thing though, you do not research anything in the vietnam era, unless we decide to make the game more complex so that it can enable you to research several different technologys for a single unit. Right now it's going to be just....

Start with Vietnam Helo... You can upgrade to an Apache, or something of a similar calibre. No starting with a vietnam helo and then upgrading its missile or something.

Ooh, that's even cooler :). Otherwise it could get a little too complicated . About the vietnamcoding, that's true but it also means you'll be forced to do the Vietnamstuff first, not really a problem but that'll require some extra planning I think, but you'll find that out yourself I guess .
