i have 2x36 gig raptors and i have two operating systems installed. i use one for running all my windows stuff and aplications and the other for my games.
this way when i boot to the second hard drive it is lightning quick without all the other programs running in the back ground and wanting to update and the like when im gameing.

my grafix is dual 6600dt sli and i have everything set to high but aa off and dynamic light off and it runns sweet.

A few of us in the clan i'm in have raided raptors and we are in the game 5 to 10 seconds before most others.

You beat him because of that extra gig. Go with the extra gig of RAM. I have 1gig and the 36gig and the game still needs to access the paging file. Even with a Raptor this bring things to a halt. Expect to wait a good 10-15 seconds everytime you want to alt-tab in or out. I wish I had an extra gig.
