SpecOps will change game...

I can shoot an AT rocket farther than you can toss a C4 pack. Most of my encounters with vehicles when I play AT is too far away to be able to get C4 on the vehicle without dying. Maybe if you stopped sucking at the AT class and used it correctly you would realize that its still better than Spec Ops for taking out vehicles in most situations.Originally posted by HaliousThe SpecOps ability to dash to a vehicle (since just about all encounters against a vehicle with infantry are enacted in less than fifty meters, around a lot of corners), "spam" all of his C4 packs in less than a second and blow it only twelve meters away, ending up unharmed, make the Anti-Tank Class just about useless.Comment

1) I sometimes destroy the enemys stuff with specops and find it not normal I do not get points for it
2) if more people are specops and more people are going to be engineer, weel no problem, more space for me on the map for doing the regular stuff
3) now as an engineer you get points for repairing artilery, .... but you do not get points for destroying it, this isn't normal
4) if you get like 2 points for each thing you destry, that means like 4 points in total (have only 5 c4) and for those 4 points you aren't going to be a spec ops the whole time or going to the enemy's base all the timeComment

I also love playing Spec Ops , even as it is now with no points just the satisfaction of helping my team.... My only problem is the fools who put up a kick poll because I kill them when they try to kill me when I'm at their base ... Yes it is spawn camping but with a purpose ...Comment

Nobody complained about one shot one kill in DC...... It made people play smarter. You learned to not stand around like a moron or you would die. If a REAL sniper were not to kill his target on the first shot he's a failure.Originally posted by Solid Snake.ptFirst, two shots is the key there. It gives you a chance to run off. The M95 particularly isn't as accurate as the M24. The delay/compensation to be done/made between firing gives you a chance to fight back before you're dead. Making bolt-actions one-shot-one-kill would ruin the balance. People don't practise the base-raping too much, because they know once the first shot is fired, they're giving their position away. The M24 and M95 both have a huge report and the SVD/Chinese sniper aren't particularly accurate.
Also, in regards to my sniping, that would explain the 24K/4D I've done in the past. If it's a 32/64 player map, there's not much of a problem. And when I say 'high' position, I mean high. Not some second story. Part of the trick is to shoot them when they're busy with fighting. Not when they're particularly idle or just walking. In a fire fight you really won't take notice of a sniper. Most people don't actually bother to think before firing. If they do notice, it'll take them a while to reach my position and I have the better view. If I've attracted too much attention, I parachute and go hide elsewhere. Go lecture someone else on how to snipe.
Nor do they think while setting up claymores. Most'll leave 'em out in the open. I tend to use them around corners and possibly not blocking team mates from passing or myself.
A shot with any of the sniper guns to the chest or head should mean instant kill. Now if your hitting one of the more heavily armored troops like support then you would have to hit them either in the face, twice in the chest with the m24 or once to the body or head with the .50 cal.
I have no idea why they changed the balistics from BF42/DC so much, there wasn't any problems with them..... :|:Comment

1) I doubt more people will play engineer, people could care less right now that the commander is yelling to them that the artillery is down.Originally posted by straywolf
We're then going to see 1) more people playing as engineers since they'll be a serious need to get stuff rebuilt, 2) more snipers as players stay behind to defend against specops, 3) maybe more assaulters to defend bases and 4) fewer commanders as they get frustrated that their gear is inoperable.
2) Probably, but these snipers will be rare as staying behind in the base just to defend equipment not important to them will take a lot of patience.
3) Uh, okay.
4) Maybe fewer commanders, I doubt it. If a commander knows the stuff he's dealing with, he or she will simply drop supplies over the damaged stations and artillery. Simple as that.Comment

IMO, the points aren't given for destroying the enemy infrastructure because the nature of clandestine operations. I doubt the SEAL or SAS get much credit(or any at all) for the job they do. Very secret and specialized. Lots if the time a spec op in a lone wolf in a team oriented game.Originally posted by ryanlopez05well im spec ops a lot and right away try to get the enemy artillery and im sick of not getting points for finding my way behind their base and doing all that...
the game right now is to simple... this will add some more strategy and fun to it
Also, spec ops have no problem taking out enemy vehicles of all types by sneaking or preplacing ordinance. It would be unfair to get points for all the stuff a spec op can destroy.
I agree with Nem,
I love running into the guy in the hat. :pComment
