Claymore/mine code would be rather simple:
If claymore/mine was dropped more than 10 seconds ago - it is not considered TK. If someone from the same team steps on it, someone is "no more".

With the current system, engineers might stop just lying mines around.

Then there is pretty much no point in being engineer.

Here's one that happened to me today that totally shows how ridiculous the system can be:

Two guys in a clan were hogging the copter the entire game. I finally got a chance to take the copter, which they weren't too happy about I guess because as they drove up in their jeep they rammed me, blowing themselves up AND me up... and somehow it registers that I TK'd them. Then they both punish me and I get -8 points to my score. How lame is that? Made me so mad that when I respawned and they took the copter I placed 5 packs of C4 on the glass of their cockpit... hehehe... ended up getting banned but it was worth it.

Point is, the punishing system has some serious flaws to it.

I know exactly what you mean! I was on Kubra Dam last night and was driving to one of our friendly flags to pick up some squad mates. Reach a decline and drive on but there was a friendly jeep coming the other way and we both collide. Funny thing is the system thinks it's MY fault where at best it was both of ours! Getting punished for something like that is really killing it for me.

i think what should happen is you get a set amount of points lost for a TK... and if you're forgiven thats that, but if someones blatently TKing you can punish and if they get punished 5 times they're kicked (though punish shouldnt happen automatically and it should be a process like having to type it in console to make people only punish people who deserve it)

who cares about the points? I care more about getting kickbanned for stupid collision tks, stupid team color bug tks, etc.

Play commander, fly a jet or fly a copter and you're going to accumulate tks. Just the way it is. They either need to up the limit, or put a decay timer on them so you can work them off every so often or something.

I say punish the dummies who run over and pass Claymores and AT mines. I hate when I lay a claymore down and some dumb fart just runs past it, seeing all the warnings!

Oh and don't get me started on the Dumb dumbs who run into a barrage knowing its coming then Punish the commander for their dumbass mess up...

They really need to be punished not the commander.
