Thanks for telling us to turn the volume up, I had no idea that would make things louder. This is what I love about the internet, no lack of great advice!Originally posted by glasseyefor gods sake ppl, the sounds remember? THE SOUNDS!
anyway while you were all talking about how much you love eric bana i've discovered the solution to the problem of weapons sounding too weak.
you have to stop using headphones and get yourself some kick ass surround sound speakers w/ a big subby. dont stand too close to artillery though.
you cant say guns sound quiet because they dont. you just dont have the volume up enough. if a tank can drive past you and you dont wince, its not loud enough.
Sarcasm aside, I have good speakers, 7.1 in fact. But when I say that the gunfire should be louder, I mean in relation to the rest of the sounds in the game. When a gunshot from my own rifle doesn't drown out then engine noise of a nearby jeep, or men yelling for a medic or ammo, then I'd say we are dealing with a simple volume balance issue.
I can't remember, does the audio properties differentiate between gunfire/explosions and voice (not over comms, but from nearby soldiers)?Comment

Im just going to say something random but it has to do with this topic.
I picked up a Dao 12 and it sounds like what happens when ur constipated for 3 months and then it all just rockets out into the toilet bowl making a huge mess and if done properly will make the toilet explode.Comment

voice over comms and from nearby soldiers is the same setting. when i fire a rifle i cant hear what ppl are saying. i have voice over and effects on max, music on zero.Originally posted by BigGuyWhoKillsThanks for telling us to turn the volume up, I had no idea that would make things louder. the number of speakers does not define its quality.Comment
