Well, APC can easily take tank out of play. First fire a rocket and then fire cannon until it overheats. That alone takes tank to red and usually at this point driver takes off. Tank must hit APC three times and if tank misses just one shot it's history... it takes plenty of time reloading tanks cannon... Usually tanks tend to stop completely or start reversing when firing, so more agile APC can easily avoid being shot.
