For Tyranus,
When I go to my computer, disk c, program files, ea games , bf2, i right click then delete, but something comes up. A SS is posted to show what happens, anyone wanna help me here?

go into run menu (WINKEY+R) in start menu, type CMD and OK. This opens command prompt.

Navigate to the folder where files you want to delete are, e.g.

c:\>CD Program files\ea games\battlefield 2
del /s *.*

first command Changes Dir and second Deletes all files and folder below the current folder.

answer y if it ask for your confirmation and if you are sure it is the right folder you are deleting from.

Super fly that usally means that BF2.exe is running in your memory somewhere dude maybe from if it crashed or something....just restart ya comp man then you should be able to delete it.

Click on the Start button.
Click on Run.
Type regedit in the text field.
Click File and then choose Export.
Name the file Backup and make sure the
Export Range
is set to All.
Click Save; you will now be returned to the Registry Editor window.
Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click the plus sign next to Software.
Click the plus sign next to DICE.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
Click the plus sign next to Electronic Arts.
Right-click and choose Delete on any Battlefield 2 folders.
Click the plus sign next to Microsoft.
Click the plus sign next to Windows.
Click the plus sign next to CurrentVersion.
Click the plus sign next to Uninstall.
Right-click and choose Delete on the key named {04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B}.
Close the Registry Editor.


Battlefield 2 should now be completely uninstalled. If anything appears to be working incorrectly after editing the registry, simply double-click on the Backup file on your desktop to restore the old registry.

Thanks......the wizard finally comes up....but when i click next i get an error saying launchappandwait failed with Support\Battlefield 2_code.exe

PLEASE HELP!

To delete the save files:

Open My Documents.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
To delete the game files (in the default location):

Open My Computer.
Open the C drive.
Open the Program Files folder.
Open the EA GAMES folder.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
Close all open windows.
Right-click on the Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.
To edit the registry and remove Battlefield 2:

Click on the Start button.
Click on Run.
Type regedit in the text field.

OMG you saved me and my dad from commiting suicide (j/k). We were so bored without BF2.

Okay, so i decided to reinstall BF2 to try to fix some issues, and now, whenever it shows the log in screen or the menu for the first time, the background is all grey. After i join and then disconnect from a server, this goes away. Does anyone know why this is?
