i have an X600 with catalyst version 6.3

it has worked perfectly (for almost a year) until a few days ago and then it wont let me boot the game, the background (that takes up like the middle of the desktop screen) pops up, then the screen goes black and then it goes back to the desktop. If i try starting the game again i get a windows error thing asking if i want to report the error. Help plz!

I don't like them.. Last time I had that driver installed, I felt it was less good, as Omega. Oh well, each ppl taste :p . Omega FTW!

                  Intel p4 2.6.
                  x700 agp 256mb.

                  1 gb ram.

I'm using an x700 agp and have no problems, i run all but 3 of the settings on high and have it on a high resolution.I just make sure i get regular driver updates from ati.Just wish the verification on game bootup was quicker.:)

I'm having 50-70 fps with my x800, agp 256 mb. Using Omega 6.2 , all medium, texture high. 1024*768. Rest of my spec is in my sig. Why I haven't better fps? I mean, if I run in high, I have low FPS. What am I doing wrong?

Your not doing anything wrong, your maxed out on your pipelines that you can obtain, with an agp card. As long as your system is stable and not crashing to desktop, or rebooting, don't change a dam thing!! You can play the game at 50-70 fps, be happy. Unless you upgrage your video card and mobo, becaue you need pci express, then i say frag on mofo. Read some of the posts above, a lot of US can't even play it anymore so be happy.

Yeah, the only agp card that I'm aware of that has 16 pixel pipelines is the x800xt. I have the AIW version, but above poster shouldn't upgrade an AGP card if he already has an x800. *edit: his sig says he has an x850, but his post says x800?

The x800xt AIW, though...sweet. And the price was right, right before pci-e became mainstream. I will *ahem* let you early adopters work through the first couple of versions/standards/directx 10 compatible iterations of pci-e before I drop a bundle on a total system upgrade.

Okay man.. Thanks for that info. I'm happy that I can play it, yes ofc.! :) Still waiting on Omega 6.3. When time comes to "you must upgrade to PCI-E to play BFxx!" then I'll do it. Otherwise, waste of money imo. And who knows? Maybe better, newer, cheaper pci-e gfx cards, when my time has come to upgrade mobo & gfx.

                                Flashing textures on x1900xtx

I'e just come back to ATI after having had a 7800gt for some time. I'm now the proud (Kind of) owner of an x1900xtx but it's giving all kinds of problems in BF2. The most annoying is this texture flashing problem which seems to affect all windows and doors. It's like the texture flashes between black and the real texture. This occured occasionaly on the 7800gt but on the ATI card it's unbearable. It's so bad on levels like Dalian Plant that I almost can't play them because it's so distracting.

Does anyone know if this is a driver issue or a BF2 issue? It didn't happen on the 7800gt so I assume it's something that can be fixed by someone.

Has anyone found a work-around?? I don't mind playing it on lower settings if it gets rid of the flickering but so far even running it on full low doesn't seem to work.

                                Any help appreciated!
