I wondered about that too. I think by "Alive" perhaps it means players that have actually spawned into the game for the team versus those that switch teams but don't spawn (hoping to get credit for a win) or those that join a team, see it's losing badly and don't spawn. I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean alive as not dead in the current game.

This also confirms that it is only the Command score that is doubled and added to any regular score the commander might have gotten (fighting commander or one that took over CO role in mid game).

In the FAQ, in the Commander and Squad commands section, it contains the following: "To accept the request, right-click the map and two choices, Accept and Decline, will appear. It's highly recommended that you accept requests as it helps your team and you get +1 in your commander score."

From what you've been saying BK, this isn't true, correct?

Regarding "spotting" the enemy using the satellite scan, from time to time I've spotten an enemy and instead of being red, he's white. I've always wondered what that meant. I read elsewhere the other day that if you see this it means you've spotted the enemy's commander. Makes sense to me.

Yeah you're right on that one, this part was typed long before I found out the concept of the commander points.

Can't confirm that yet, I do have occasions where the enemy is highlighted in white too. All we know is that it's still a hostile target.

Im number 180 in the leaderboard of commanders

Always use scan before artillery, dont bomb every place like crazy, be patient, wait

when the enemies are taking a flag and the flag turn white always try to bomb that place
And how exactly do people get experience? Were you born with the ability to command bf2 "built in"? I hate people like you who cannot give a little lee-way to others to give them time to learn. Mr "I'm-so-bloody-wonderfull"

You dont get points for kills under UAV or Spotted in V 1.03. I am sure, correct me if I am wrong please.

I've confirmed that the spotted white enemy target is indeed the opposing commander. Was playing on our server with fellow =VSF= members and the opposing commander confirmed on Teamspeak his location was where the white dot was.

So, could one speculate that a "white" vehicle moving about the map is being occupied/driven by the opposing team's commander? I thought that a "white" vehicle indicated an enemy vehicle being driven by friendly forces but maybe that's not the case...

Do you get points if a soptted enemy gets killed after spotting him? I dont anyway. Any other methods of maximising your score?

The only white vehicles I've ever seen on a commander scan are those being driven by the members of friendly squad(s) I have clicked on and highlighted in the squad listing. However, most times, especially if they know what they're doing, commanders don't get into vehicles. To do the best commander job for your team, the CO should be hidden in a protected area and have the commander screen open all the time.

Continously in the round, BF2 sums the points earned by each team from kills, flag captures, flag defends, heals, revives, resupply, driver special ability, etc., and divides that score by the number of players on each team. Points lost due to team kills, team damage, etc. do not factor in. So, for example, after 5 minutes Team 1 had earned 200 points and has 10 players on it, the CO score at that point would be 20. So, the CO doesn't get points DIRECTLY from a spotted enemy being killed, however, by spotting enemy he/she is helping their team make the kills versus being killed.
