Latest BF2142 Patch. Which one is it.

Ok, well something is wrong somewhere because I just tried the Battlefield 2 disk, and the game does not start either. The screen refreshes as if it's going into the game, and then it blinks a couple times, but then I get redirected straight to my desktop.

I've done everything everyone has said in here... Deleted EVERYTHING, uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, restarted my computer. Nothing seems to be working.

because I'm trying to uninstall BF2, and I CAN"T EVEN DO THAT!! Wtf is wrong with this game. I click the uninstall button, and the loading icon pops up, then blinks and then goes away, nothing comes up. Ffs.

Ok, ignore the Alcohol120 part, i guess its not needed anymore.

BATTLEFIELD 2142 v1.25 [ENGLISH] MULTIPLAYER NO-DVD/FIXED EXE (2.17MB)
Download that.

Then, go to your install directory (C, program files etc)

There should be a BF2142.exe, copy that and paste it somewhere safe.

THEN, take the BF2142 from the download and put it in the same place. And try that.

Do you know how I can manually uninstall the game that is on right now then. I can't even uninstall the game because nothing happens when I click the uninstall button.

Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Then look for Battlefield 2142 -> Remove.

ya, I tried that, and it's not working. A window comes up for a second, and then it goes away, and nothing happens after that.

Have you tried the Autorun on the disc?

Ah, the autorun on my computer is messed up. Notice the error in the image below.

Well, I restored my computer to several days ago, and I'm hoping this will fix the problem. It's getting on my nerve that things aren't working correctly.

Your CD/DVD could be screwed or your disk drive.

Now that you've mentioned BF2 does it as well, the exact same thing happened to me when I had both installed. It happened after I first installed Project Reality mod but I don't know if that was the exact reason why.

I never fixed it because I had just ordered some new PC parts which needed a reinstallation of Windows, and after I did that it all worked fine again.

Well no problem. I just did a windows restore on my pc and restored it several days back before I ever installed Battlefield.

I installed BF2142 last night and it seemed to be working now. Hopefully after I install BF2, that will work, but we'll see. At least I got 1 game working now.
