Latest BF2142 Patch. Which one is it.

I've looked everywhere and all I see are beta patches and some other weird patches, but I just want the MAIN FULL PATCH that I need to install right now.

I just installed BF2142 onto my new computer, and I need to know specifically which patch is the correct patch to use where everyone is playing on.

Ok, well something is wrong then because I downloaded the 1.25 patch and then tried installing it, but it said I already had a newer version installed.

I install some other patch yesterday, but I wasn't sure if it was the correct one. It obviously isn't because when I search for servers, nothing is coming up.

So, is there another patch, or something. Could anyone please help me. I'd like to play.

If you installed the beta patch first, the 1.25 patch detects that and won't let you install. You have 2 options: 1) Wipe it all out and re-install base game, and then 1.25 full patch. 2) If you are comfortable editing your registry there is a way to fix it so you can do the patch. It's in a thread in the support section- don't have time to search right now, but it'll have something about the second 1.4 beta patch in the subject title.

Someone help me please

Could someone please help me.

I just installed the 1.25 patch after uninstalling then reinstalling BF2142 completely. Now, after installing the 1.25 patch, I go to load up the game, and the BF2142 picture comes up, then the screen blinks as if it is going into the game, and then the resolution even changes....

But then the screen blinks a second time and then my computer just goes straight back to my desktop. NOTHING HAPPENS!!! BF 2142 doesn't start up or anything, I just get redirected straight to my desktop. This is PO me off, and I can't get the darn game to run.

Could anyone help me please.

A couple of possible suggestions

1) Do you have refresh-rate fixing software installed? If so try disabling that and see how far you get loading it

2) Failing that, uninstall it again. Go into Program Files\Electronic Arts and delete the BF2142 folder if it's still there. Go into My Documents and you should see another folder called Battlefield 2142. This should help, but I'd go a step further-

Go to start menu, run, and type 'regedit'. When the window comes up, go to HKEY,local machine,software find your EA folder and manually delete any 2142 entries in there too.

Ah yes the old failing to start bug.

If you have a desktop shortcut, right mouse button on this and change run in compatability mode to windows 2000. It should then work.

Well, I just tried that, and now every time I try to run the game, a window pop's up saying to "Please insert Battlefield 2142 Diskc and select OK to retry."

I'll try and do what Myxx said, and then we'll see if it works. I've already installed BF2142 like 3 times already though.

Wtf is this. Well something is damn wrong somewhere because that same error comes up after reinstalling BF2142 again, and I get this other stupid thing for no reason. It's some AUTORUN.EXE Error (I DO HAVE THE CORRECT BATTLEFIELD DISC IN THE CORRECT DRIVE)



Either this Patch I downloaded from this one site is bad or something, but nothing is working. What the heck is wrong with this.

Ok. This is painful but the only thing I can think of is:

1. Uninstall
2. Delete the battlefield2142 folder in My Documents (If it is still there).
3. Restart
4. Install
5. Patch.

Install EALink and all the patches for your game should magically appear.
