The army kind of makes me do push ups and sit ups until my arms are too weak to take my shirt off afterwards, so my private time is mine... I usually play my DS between games.... what can I say, gamer for life, yo...

If I start doing push-ups in the middle of the floor, I will get mugged instantly by the dog

This is also my issue with two dogs in the house.

However, it does seem like quite an innovative suggestion. It's certainly cheaper than most gyms today :P
