Well if were gonna cast a rational perspective on this. Im having an attempted discussion with a dude that i know, have met and played with for years. This disagrement insulted me to some degree that much must be obvious to you?

And to step even further back. You, are some dude that i dont know at all, pretty sure you dont know xland in particular. And your STILL here puttin you two pence in. Least the other guys who post on this thread with their own issues just ignore my posts because they obv dont want to get involved. But you seem to be going down a path thats just going to lead to me mentioning something about old-english criminals and a nice ship ride to a sunny land down under :p

Evidently i knew xland as much as i thought as non of this has really surprised me, but xland thought i would make up a fake name to flame him on a forum id never cared to visit in my life. Well, that was a bad judgement cos as soon as i had something to say i was here makin sure that he wasnt lording accusations over people for things he has NO quarms about doing him-self.

Someone brought up crosland in it before we did, someone who has no grudge (as far as i'm aware) against him and we are fully entitled to post our veiws on the subject just as much as you are with your 3,300 odd posts.

If you don't like it then read something else or put us on ignore, it's that f**king simple.

We aren't going to sit by and watch you all sucking each others egos off and covering up for each other and not say anything about it.

All crosland has to do is admit that he was once a stat-padder and we will leave him alone but like we've already stated... if he persists in calling other people on this or any other forum a stat-padder or a liar then we will always be on hand to put him straight.

You're right crosland you're not the stat padder that he is, because you got away with it. But every time you call someone else one it makes you look like a lying hypocrite and we will always remind you of this fact.

We can let this drop, it would be easy to do because it's obvious that you guys don't care about padders if it happened "a long time ago" or if the padder in question happens to be popular amongst the posters here.

Double standards abound here as you only have to take a look around the forum to find all the stat-padding threads and hacking threads and not once until now has anyone said "it was alright, it was ages ago" (or words to that effect). That really made me lmfao.

I myself am happy that crosland lied to his new clan and got them to lie for him, i'm happy that he left our clan and i'm happy that he has been found out as a stat-padder (ex) and a liar (current). No bitterness here just smiles all round.

This is a great post, BallaAce seems like a nice guy and we all know he only went onto Knife only servers to get high ranking players tags.

He didn't do it to pad.

He got wiped and took it like a man. He didn't lie about it and start abusing other forum members because of it and although my first impressions of him weren't so good i now have the utmost respect for him as a person and as a player.

I wasn't really gonna post anything, but I see a lot of hypocrisy in this thread, and I feel I should enlighten you all.

I have not used it yet, so I'm pretty confused, but explain how EMP grenade spamming aids in stat padding? Do you get points for hitting something with an EMP grenade? Or can they kill vehicles?

Oh, war simulation huh? Try joining the millitary, then when you get shipped off to the middle east or wherever, bunnyhop into enemy fire while tossing C4 around.

The "war simulator" excuse doesn't fly because the tactic in question (RDX hoping), doesn't count as a valid millitary tactic. Put more simply, if your going to play the game as a war simulation, you wouldn't RDX hop, would you? (Which is not to say that you have to play this as a simulation, but if you play it as a game instead, wouldn't you want to insure an enjoyable game for everyone by cutting out cheap tactics like RDX hopping? :) Or do you not care about others on the server?)

So, basically the remark only works if you change your remark to "Battlefield is a game about finding any tactic, no matter how cheap and unentertaining, to kill the enemy".

Because after all, this game is about entertainment, right?

And with EMPing for points? Who cares? After you reach General you need to find other things to do to still
enjoy the game cause they don't reward for anything else any more. Look at the EMP points, they were obviously long after he got his awards for everything else and after he made General.

You just admited he's padding.

Who cares if you EMP pad after getting brig? The people trying to make it to the top without padding, the BFROE, and, well, me. Just for the simple fact it's annoying that people act all big after reaching the top that way.

Is pickle_power so worshipped that you have to lie to protect him? Is he YOUR god? I went on the =w= clan server to knife him. He was on the rooftops throwing emp nades down at me and assets in our uncap base. So yeah if that's not padding, then what the hell is?

To set the record straight - I had absolutely no idea there was such a deep rift between certain people here and no flame war was intended :salute:

I only ever played against crosland once online and he (I assume it's a he?) got me more times than I got him. So I'll give him some credit, he was a good shot with the assault rifle (was either a Voss or Krylov). I was interested in his stats since his names keeps getting popped up by his clan mates as a 'top 100 player' so that's why I checked him out and was actually not shocked to see evidence of padding, given his obviously competitive background.

Bit disappointed to see how someone tried to tell bareface lies about it; but then hey that sort of person accounts for 99% of the BF player base these days :|:

Now that I think about it, it's a good thing I got wiped. I learned my lesson not to mess with DICE execs because they're fiesty :p

I can't really be mad at Crosland for (ex)padding. It's a game, and you can't take these things too seriously. But we all know that Crosland won't admit it and say something like "omg i didnt pad i was afk commanding wile n00bs were doin it". And you know why? Because he's afraid someone from DICE will see his post if he admits to statpadding and wipe him. So until he gets reset, you're not gonna see Crosland admitting the truth.

I am sorry if the way you have read my posts leads you to believe that i am in support of pickle powers group because i am in no way supporting them as far as their statements are concerned, all that i'm saying is that they have as much right to be heard as anyone else on these forums.

If pickle power is a stat-padder then i'm totally against him but the thing is i don't know for sure that he did because i haven't really looked into the matter. Maybe i will but he is of no concern to me at this moment in time.

crosland on the other hand i know to be a liar and a cheat, so i am therefore able to comment upon his misdeeds with a certain amount of knowledge and confidence.

Not sure what you mean. I don't think I am saying anything about whether the people that did this were stat padding or not. Neither really is Psymm. This kinda reflects about what my other posts have been about.

To me the argument is this here Psymm was upset by Crosland coming onto his xfire and verbally abusing him. Psymm would like an apology. Sadly the threads have been hijacked by people who also have opinions to air about stat padding.

I would like to see Crosland apologise to Psymm personally. He has been found wanting in a lot of respects about truth, padding and attitude and an apology would go some way to making up for it considering it was so long ago.

My other point is that if these peoplewere not caught at the time then there is little you can say about it. When I reached General I had about 300 resupply points or something. The leaders in the game had over 5000. Who cares now.

BUT at the moment the EMP thing is the latest easy way to get points.

I hate padders as much as the next people. I try to keep Timeless clean of it.. thats one of the responsibilities of being an admin.
