Do we all agree that the Ganz is the best?

On the rare occasion I find myself wielding a MG, I always prefer it to be the Ganz rather than the lighter variants. Its damage per round and suppressive (in short bursts) fire capabilities are unmatched and it is nasty in the hands of an accurate marksman.

Meh, the ganz is suitable for people that want to fight the battle from a safe distance since you can't do guerilla tactics with it. It's for support so the ganz supports the assualt troops. I personally am an "in your face" guy so I choose clark.

I used the Ganz for a bit, but my inner Rambo was just too powerful. I am the type of guy who likes to be up close to the action, not sitting there hoping somebody hops in front of my scope... So I moved over to the Clark. TBH, I would much rather be using a Baur/Voss/SCAR (anything but a Krylov!) but I have some SWEET ranking with the Clark-12 RDX (#26 In the world) and I would like to keep it :p Because I have been playing support so much, I have become addicted to the IDS. Without it, I die so much it isn't funny...

The Mg's are supposed to Supress which is to spray and spray the enemy so bad that they have to go prone or flee, slow down the enemy, so yes 25 rounds and MG overheat is a joke, but otherwise it will be overpowered because you would be able to shot half your clip with the excellent accuracy it gains.

I'd put it the other way round: I dont see why anyone with the shottie would use any other support gun (aside from ganz). :pNow seriously: The shotgun obviously rules in close quarters environment, while the machine guns have their advantages in semi-open maps. Among the machine guns the Ganz is probably the best, provided that you can handle the nasty recoil and the obstructed field of view in zoomed mode.

I much prefer CQB myself as well, and i'd much rather be out there capturing flags and engaging at close range...

But sometimes when facing a well organized enemy who are attacking your positions in close supporting squads, I find I need to back off a bit and defend instead sometimes. I'm kind of a lone wolf type player and if I try and take on a full 6-man squad by myself, I'm not going to do too well. But if I can find a good spot to hang back and use suppression to slow up an advance and give my teammates a chance to pick off a squad that I've been able to stop their advance.. That's not a bad tactic if you are looking to win the round IMO.

And in the right circumstances (defending the last flag on Gibraltar for example), the Ganz absolutely rocks in these types of scenarios!

Ganz is the best. I have some 3000 kils with it, and he never fails. It doesnt overheet if you are shooting shorter bursts, when that crosshair narrows you can waste people with only few rounds. Sniper at long distance? No problem with Ganz. Titan corridor ? Ganz owns it. Just keep him heated..and yes, I like that powerful sound!

snipers think they're a match for me and my ganz at 100 metres. they're really not

obviously it doesnt live up to what you think a support gun should be. :yay::salute::yay:
he's right i've just recently starting using the support guns(bianchi and shuko) and they are actually pretty accurate if you use short bursts.

its also funny when someone shoots at the support sheild from a far distance with a voss .

(it takes awhile for them to realize)

What he means is if you're entrenched in a position, and your support, you should be able to suppress three, maybe four people, keep them from charging until someone can sneak in there with a nade.

Tell me you can hold down four vosses charging you at once with a ganz.

As it is, I treat the ganz more like an auto-sniper, because of its accuracy. Of course, it's an auto sniper that misses the 1st shot instead of the 2nd or 3rd.

I just want to know how he does in other games where he doesnt get a portable wall hack.

                          Clark, PDS, EMP grenades

                          For the win.

Hm, I like to think of the IDS as a compensation for the inate situational awareness I would have in real life.

In real life, you'd be able to hear footsteps, see dust kicked up, and feel when someone is behind you.

Not so in games. (unless you have a surround sound system, which I don't)

                            That's my thought's at least.

Edit: Off topic: I think a good example of a compensator for SA in games is the motion sensor in halo, reaches about to hearing range, and only detects when people do something that would cause noise: moving, jumping, and shooting.

I prefer the Ganz, when I'm not MG'in it's at long range, hence the not using of the Clarks...

Hmm. Interesting pseudo-philosophical justification... I think of it as a portable short-range legal wall-hack, and use it relentlessly as support. And I have surround-sound.
