A few notes guys:

-No singleplayer is incoporated in R1, if you try loading it will CTD.
-To find servers you need to clear most of the search requirments in the online menu (ranked option is the most important). We'll be having alot of servers pop up some time today, sorry for the inconvience.

We've also discovered that some of you are having Shader issues, we have discovered the fix and recommend that you follow these instructions. If you are still having problems reply and we'll look into it further.

-Click on properties on your Firststrike Mod Shortcut
-Change the "Start In" line from ("F:\Battlefield 2142\mods\FirstStrike") to ("F:\Battlefield 2142\")

NB. The above directories are an example.

I got on 2142 then joined off of a friend and it went stright to the mod without any issuses. I was able to play for about 40 mins then I CTD in my last game. But it was still fun running in the woods. I like the cover, and the speeders own!!

good job so far. Only thing I don't like is the medic takes forever to heal his self. Why is that??? I am talking when you are holding the pack, not on the ground.

They take a long time to heal because there are other options to help him along. If you're in a squad with more than 3 people you can operate the medic droid, that will follow you about and heal you (and your squadmates) more quickly.

The pack is essentially a last resort emergency supply. Drop it on the ground and hold another one and you will heal twice as fast, but you've lost one pack. So use them wisely :)

Wow, the whole droid thing sounds cool. It seems like this game has alot of detail to it. I can't wait to get into this game more.

WE have a manual on teh way that describes everything in the game for both teams.

Stop by our site, and it should be available today/tommorow (so tey tell me hehe), so all your issues with not knowing WTF does what, will hopefully be gone.

As far as Random crashing goes, we are slowely pinpointing the issue and hope to get a hot fix out with extrra bug's and gamebalance issues, sorted for as soon as we humanly can.

I'd just like to ask you to bare with us as the crashes do not happen often. and to remember this is the first release and is the first time teh game ha had A full server playing so we are bound to start seeing more cracks than we could with our testing team.
just be sure to report us the bugs and if possible what you were doing when the occured and we shall try to rectify them ASAP

this is happening to me too, anybody got any ideas. I've downloaded from filefront and fileplanet and neither of them work.

Braveman, can you load up BF2142 vanilla, and go into custom games and try loading up Firststrike that way. It could be that the shortcut isn't working.
