Vista + New System + Titan

Hi,
I'm just about to build a new system in a few days, and I have already built one less powerful using Vista. I know there was a problem when playing Titan with the memory, has their been a fix found for this yet?

CPU: Intel QX6850
RAM: 4 x 1GB OCZ Reaper PC2-9200
GPU: 2 x EVGA Superclocked 8800Ultra's 768MB
MOBO: EVGA A1 680i SLI
That's the main parts so it should run it fine!

There are a bunch of hotfixes out there for Vista and gaming, you best bet would be to either search through a website like www.hardforum.com or search the web for a website for gamers that list essential tweaks and updated hotfixes (there have been 4 just in the last 2 month I would call essential that aren't part of windows update along with the new 163.xx series of Nvidia drivers). Also there are issues with BF2142 and UAC were you should either elevate BF2142 to run as Admin or just turn UAC off till they fix it.

Good luck, SP1 is coming out for Vista early '08. Its in BETA rightnow, if you sweet talk one of the BETA testers or keep an eye out for the open BETA it includes most of these hotfixes.

I have a fix but i'm not sure if it works on 64 bit

Enable large memory support for the executable, theres tuts for most games out on the internet and ive made a post on it here before along with some others. The only difference is with 64 bit you dont need to do the bcedit command to tell windows to recognise it as 64bit can already address that space.
