Banned for "BYA" ??

Please, don't criticize what you don't know. I have never banned someone so myself or anyone else could have their vehicle. Again, anytime you are ready, there are plenty of Server Providers out there ready to accept yours or your mom and dad's credit card so you can have a go of it yourself.

Plus, the whole idea is to keep a server populated and being that kind of an admin will only server to get you flamed in forums like these and cause less players to visit your servers.

You already said that you would have banned him, which leads me to assume that it is regular practice in servers you admin. And I have been in your shoes. Maybe not in this game, nor BF2, but Source/HL1 games. It is not easy, true, but who has it worse? The admin, or the guy that got banned simply because he got in a gunship that someone else "called".

Stealing vehicles, the M95 was oh so useful in bringing justice to vehicle stealers. :laugh:

Thats is right, you got to excuse raidyr, he is a server owner basher.
He is freeloading on the servers we pay for but yet like to complain about admins.
I can't say much on the 2142 server scene since we got our servers up late in the game. But we pay around $330 a month and run 8 servers. But we had our handful with BF2 and dealing with smacktards. Since we ran Battle recorder on our servers, when we do a ban, we do a ticket in our forums show the reason, screenshots and video footage of the ban. That way when people go into communities such as the totalbf2142, we show the proof and thats the end of storey. Battle recorder don't lie, neither do chatlogs.

The rules are simple, most are regulars on the server, they enjoy the server and the good admining and people.Guess thats why we get donations for non clan members each month.

raidyr I got a idea, Since you are so against server admins, i got a deal for you.
I was going to donate a server IP for 2142 to total2142 for a server for the community. I haven't heard back from the upper management yet.
How about this, Since you would be the best out there, and to cheap to have your own,and knock us good server owners, ill let you have a ip for a 2142 server.

I want you to get some good PR for it and have it populated in one month. No stat padding, or k&p servers allowed. You my not play on any other server but yours. Your rules go as long they are with in compliance with EA's TOS/ROC.Act like you just paid $330 for the server and want to get your moneys worth.That is the only condition.
You will have full BF2142cc access to a battlerecoder enabled server that stores the last 50 rounds.
Guaranteed that it will flop,put you money where your mouth is.
I'm tired of reading your comments about the good server owners, now it time to step up.

Perhaps you should read my entire post. He stated that two guys were waiting for the gunship. He also stated that he went up to where it spawns and held down "E" obviously knowing that he would probably get in it first. So I am left with the decision to allow a completely selfish player who just ticked off two others to remain, or I can get rid of him. If I ban him then the other two will most likely not only stay, they will probably tell their friends, assuming they have some, that we try to keep things fair on our servers. Thus more people join our servers, which is what we are after.

Alright, I think this is a big misunderstanding. I apologize if I offended you guys. But I still stand by the fact that he should not have been banned. If he got the gunship first, thats that. The other 2 guys were just too slow. I dont want this thread to turn into a ****-throwing fest between players and admins.

Thats how i see it, its unfair game play. Its common courtesy to share. Thats want most want in a good server. So i guess its OK to take someones vehicles if they are repairing it, its ok to jump in line while others are waiting,etc. I think not, not in a fair game play environment. Their is plenty of EA non admin smacktard servers for that. I've even kicked some of our own clan members for uncap raping( omg that didnt go over well,lol). It didnt happen much but we try to treat eveyone equal as we can.

Well can't say i didn't try. Just remember not all server owners are on a power trip. Their is good group of us out there, most are apart of this community. Yes their is more bad ones then good, but don't let that judge the goods ones that try to make it enjoyable to play on.

individual servers can make their own rules about first come, first serve.

personally, i don't care if 8 people are all holding e trying to get anything. but, other admins will differ.

a ban is excessive imho. a kick would be pushing it. if that action broke a rule, i personally would have warned on the first offense.

but yeah, with so many servers out there, makes no sense to bash many of them. just find a handful you like and stick there. you'll usually find me only playing in 3-4 different servers for the most part.... just the ones i know i like.

Well can't say i didn't try. Just remember not all server owners are on a power trip. Their is good group of us out there, most are apart of this community. Yes their is more bad ones then good, but don't let that judge the goods ones that try to make it enjoyable to play on.

To download the BR, if it is enabled and configured correctly. Click on Community, then BR file you want and download. After it is downloaded, click on the file and click play or something like that. Then use fraps to record the clip you want. Then open it in windblows movie make to cut the file size down and upload it to youtube.


Well standing on the titan really doesn't mean much. Some could thing you are afk, or whatever. Was the 2 guys already there? Did you cut in line and done the hold E trick?

I know i hated that in BF2, i like to fly the jets was pretty good. But i be damed if i am going to sit there for 5-10min and wait for them to crash/killed.

But sometimes i would wait cause i just felt like flying, and if some one came up and took it i would be ill too. I would have kicked you too for unfair gameplay and stealing team mates vehicles. I wouldn't have banned though, should have been a warning, then a kick if you didn't comply.

But some admins just don't tolerate anything and ban cause they either on a power trip, or either have had a server full of tards to deal with.

Not really pertaining to you, but I wish some people would lease a server. Get it populated and try to have some ground base rules. Then try to enjoy playing the game and admin at the same time. You would see what admins go though on a daily bases on a populated server.

I l know what you mean, and I do wait for gunship to get down, but as a say below I don't usually do that. And lol I do hate when somebody takes the jet/heli I'm waiting for. And yet at sometimes I just think to my self who cares, but I won't do that again, and I've only done it that once, but I think I've learned my lesson being kicked from my favorite server


Just this week I've let dozens of guys take gunship instead of me, like for fun, I'd hold E, get in, and then bail out and let the two guys have it. Now there's no excuse for what I did, I just get I got realy selfish at that moment not leaving him the gunship.

I've never done it since, and I don't know why I did it then, but the forum title is "BYA" and I just wanted to know what that meant. But never mind this topic an be closed as I guess it's just that one guy abreviating something nobody else knows.
