EA download Manager ?

I have the same problem. I tried the Beta of EADM with this Flash problem and they could not fix it. I am waiting for a response from EA to see if I can reload EA Link so I can continue playing my 2142. It is a pain in the ***. The only way I can see to fix this problem is a complete reformat and reload everything. For me that is not an option. I hope EA can fix this problem.

get the flash unstaller and unstall both flash and eadm. get a program like "end all" free use google to find. It just shut every thing down thats running. install flash, eadm and restart. good to go

Huh? Why is CS and HL2 in the EA store. I thought thhey had Steam for that...

Valve hired EA to distribute the Hard Copies of the games after having major issues with Vivendi the company that owns Sierra (I think it was) when HL2 was being finished.

And thankfully EA has no stakes in Valve.

Can't even get it to work. Keeps saying i need flash player. I have the latest version of adobe's flash player installed. Can any one help me with this.

I got the following from EA and it worked great for me. My downloader now works:

Sometimes the Flash player does not install properly or the Flash file that associates itself with program becomes corrupt.

To reinstall the Flash player:

Run the Flash Uninstaller to remove your current version.
Reinstall the Flash player from the website.

If that fails, we may be dealing with a corruption in the EA Download Manager itself. If so, we may need to manually uninstall it and reinstall it again.

To manually uninstall EA Download Manager, you will need to edit your system registry and remove the folders in a two-part process. This will remove all traces of EA Download Manager from your system.

NOTE: If you remove EA Download Manager, you will lose accessibility and playability to any downloaded games and manuals.

Remember that editing your computer's registry or files incorrectly can severely damage your operating system. We recommend having a computer professional perform these steps. If you are confident, however, that you can edit your registry successfully, then please follow the instructions below carefully.

To remove all of the game folders:

Open My Computer.
Open your hard drive (by default, EA Download Manager is installed on the C drive).
Open the ProgramData folder.
Open the Electronic Arts folder.
Right-click on the EADM folder and choose Delete.
A "Confirm Folder Delete " window will appear; choose Yes.
(Also in the Program Files folder), go to the InstallShield Installation Information.
* (If you cannot find this folder you may have to go to Tools > Folder Settings and click the setting to “SHOW hidden folders ".)
Right-click the {F5577101-33CC-4711-8235-3A95BCD49DB0} and choose Delete.
A “Confirm Folder Delete” window will appear; choose Yes.
When the folder is deleted, close the window.
Right-click your Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.
Now you can remove the registry keys for the game:

Click on Start and then click on Run...
In the text line type regedit, then click OK.
Click on File and then Export...
Choose a location and name for the file (this will be your backup registry file).
Click Save.
The next steps will all be performed in the left pane of the Registry Editor window:

Click on the + next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click on the + next to SOFTWARE.
Click on the + next to Electronic Arts.
Right-click on EA Core folder and choose Delete.
Click on the + next to Microsoft.
Click on the + next to Windows.
Click on the + next to Current Version.
Click on the + next to Uninstall.
Right-click on {F5577101-33CC-4711-8235-3A95BCD49DB0} and choose Delete.
A Confirm Key Delete window will appear, choose Yes.
If you also need to remove the cache associated with EA Download Manager, please do the following:

Open My Computer.
Double-click the C drive. (By default, this is where the cache folder is created. If you previously specified a different location for the cache folder, you will need to delete that custom folder.)
Double-click the ProgramData folder.
Double-click the Electronic Arts folder.
Right-click on the EADM and choose Delete.
A “Confirm Folder Delete” window will appear; choose Yes.
EA Download Manager has now been completely removed from your system.

The way I solved the Flash issue...actually don't know why it worked but it did. I went to EA.com with Internet Explorer...it said I needed to download Flash Player. Even though I had the most recent version, I did it anyway. It installed and EA Downloader worked and stopped giving me the Flash error. Don't know why it worked, but sometimes I don't think EA knows how things work either.
