    Game freeze, then map freeze...

This keeps happening to me quite frequent now and encountered it tonight...

You will be ingame, then your screen would just freeze. Sometimes if your very lucky you can alt-tab out and end program, but most of the time you have to do a hard reset.

Then when you load up bf2142 again, it keeps freezing halfway on the map loading screen! Maybe another hard reset...

It happens to me and some of my clan mates at the exact same moment on the same server, which is very wierd...

To overcome this I have to keep deleting my cashe, updating or re-installing punkbuster, or deleting radial.cbd; and hope for the best.

Does this happen to anyone else???

Me twice in a specific server.

First time it happened I suspected the server was the cause.....like 3 months later happened again and I remembered first time it was in that very same server.

i had the radial.cbd error for the last month, every time i wanted to play i had to delete it first.

the wierd thing is, my problem got solved after the server was down last week. now my radial.cdb file remains 1 Mb big, whereas it tended to grow to 12 MB last month.

so to awnser you question if any1 else has the exact same problem as you; just look at the support forum. every thread started nowadays is about it.
A better question would be: Who doesnt have/ didnt had the radial.cdb error?

nah a regular re-install doesnt work for the radial.cdb error...the re-install doesnt delete files that werent created by the install.

so if you re-install, you also have to delete this file manualy, but since your problem most likely willl be caused by the radial file, its less work to just delete it and not re-install?

Yep, re-install doesn't work. Had to learn that the hard way the first time the problem happened.

But it must be something to do with the specific server if it affects multiple ppl at exactly the same time...?

i somewhere read that the radial file is related to the ingame-advertising, so maybe some servers are trying to collect info from you/more players, and thats were the radial bug kicks in?

              just wild guess

Thanks guys, I haven't read the support forums because I just thought it was my computer. But now that I see others have the same thing maybe I can fix it.

All this time I thought it was my ram or MB.
                        Thanks in advance.

Below hidden files and folders, you also have to un-tick "Hide extensions for known file types" and "hide protected operating system files". Then it should appear.

Thanks for the help! Now I can play without going and buying a whole new system since I thought it was a hardware problem. Thanks again guys!

yea it's a radical problem and i've been experiencing it lately too. i've had to delete the file 5-6 times so far.

funny how it's been few months since this show stopping bug first surfaced, but no word from DICE to even attempt to fix this or even acknowledge this problem exists. they probably don't give a sh*t.
