I was playing on the titan the other day (as you do) and my squad member was in one of the guns.

There he was in his little green name saying Playername (3/9) in my HUD. I was below decks at the time and he was sitting on the console.

Now as someone sat down in another seat he became Playername (4/9). Fine so it shows how many people were sitting in the guns. As we know Guns start at no 2 and go up to no 7 and the left are right podders and 8 and 9.

So why is it 4/9 ? whats the ninth?

strange how they give the commander a number.

Yeah that is weird that the commander gets a number on the titan. Maybe its because he has the power to move the titan?

maybe the titan itself is no 1?

probably stands for the titan itself because the commander is supposed to be able to pilot the titan

No I've never seen anyone in the one slot. It goes like this:
1- titan itself I guess
2-7- titan guns
8 and 9 - pod launchers
