Map Editor with Windows Vista

Well I wanted to try my hand at creating a map and downloaded BF2 Map Editor. But when I tried to install ot a box popped up saying that it would only work in Windows XP. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium and was wondering if there is any way to get it to work or God forbid is there a editor for Vista.

Well I got it to install....

But when i try to run it I get the following windows

1st one install direct x......
2nd the editor just sucks and crashes a lot

Well how can I not have DX9c installed every time I installl a game it always comes up with a message saying that it is updating to DX9c.

Just forget about it this sucks and is not worth it.

You got it. Even if you did get it installed, the process is crap because you are using the Battlefield 2 editor to mod 2142.
