im pretty sure someone said its to prevent other players from kicking or banning that particular person from the server. Doesnt really work though as you just whisper to them and the name will appear.

Not necessarily. I tried whispering to one dude, and all I saw was "|C100|C100|C100|C100|C100|C100|C100|C100|C100|C10 0|C100|C100" :hmm:

It's something you add in your prefix I'm pretty sure. Doubtfully a hack.

It would be one of the <<r2>> guys in the lead its caused by the special character they use for the small version of '<<' the game cant draw it when they are in first position.

You can kick vote them quite easily, try it some time but they arent cheating and it isnt done on purpose so this would make you a w4nk3r.

Its the "Orange" code, but not Giant names. There is nothing wrong with people knowing about |C1000, it can be useful when coloring your localization files. I'm not going to say what the code for giant names is though... There is absolutely no reason for people to use this anywhere.

ok to clarify this, this was our server...See my username, that is our tags that cause this problem.

For some reason the person cant see when they are on the other team. Sometimes they can its weird. I don't understand why sometimes it shows and sometimes it doesn't.
But it is a small concern to EA so they wont both fixing it, from my support ticket.

Not from this, we still can get kicked and banned, BUT their is a type of hack/cheat that makes your name blank in bf2142CC. Our clan tags do not do that.
