[Help]Can't get in games

Everytime i try to join a server i get about half way through loading and then it just stops. it doesnt freeze, it just wont load anymore and i have to ctrl/alt/delete out. i have been playing on this computer for the past few months and have never had this problem and the only then that has changed recently is i have installed a new printer. anyone got any ideas?
