cant even get into a game

So when I first bought bf it worked fine, even though I had vista. No crashes hardly ever get kicked due to pb.

Now....in the last month or so it has crashed a ridiculous amount of times in the middle of a game, it does the titan map change crash thing, never connects to a server the first time and I keep getting kicked due to punkbuster.

My main problem now though is that its just started crashing before it even loads the first map. I try to join a server and when its loading the map, conquest or titan it will crash about 2/3 of the way into loading and of course never join the game. Help me, please?

some specs: running vista 64, NVIDIA Geforce 8600 GTS card, 4 gig RAM

Done and done (and done!) already and they made no difference. Sorry I should have mentioned that before. Deleting the cache files just causes it to crash when its optimising the shaders rather than loading the map, the radial change makes no difference and the titan map fix is only for vista 32.

I tried getting on a server just now and its still doing the same thing.

I'm having the same problem although I'm on XP. My copy of battlefield normally works pretty well (although there are always a few problems now and then. I'm looking at you EA link), but recently it's having problems loading. It loads 2/3rds of the way through and then stops. Music still plays and the little walker still walks but there is no progress. I once managed to load up a game recently, and played for 5 minutes but then it froze.

Aha, success! I just had to uninstall bf and reinstall it. Now its working, well, alright I guess although it did crash with some kind of memory error after about 5 minutes but at least I got onto a server.

I did what someone said to do on another thread, which was to make it work on one core instead of 2. Now its working fine.
