    reinstalling

this will be the first time I have had to reinstall a game, so after uninstalling and defraging my hard drive and reinstalling bf2142 do I apply the patch then northern strike and patching again or can I install bf2142 then northern strike followed by patch?

I think the Northern Strike needs 1.25 to be installed first. Or atleast it said like that to me.

So this is what i did.

    Unistall bf2142

    Defrag

    Reinstall bf2142

    install 1.25 patch

    install Northern Strike

    Install 1.25 patch again.

This way i didn't get any "unmodified content" errors or anything.

Stonecold is correct, NS requires at least 1.20, so patching with 1.25 after installing BF2142 and then again after installing NS works fine.

Remember that all your settings etc are kept in a subfolder to "My Documents", so you don't need to remove these.

But the contents of My Documents/battlefield 2142/mods/cache needs to go, that is where all the "optimizing graphics" files are, and I think they will benefit a lot form being generated again on a defragged drive.

I delete that shaders, and the logocache time to time. That shaders cache especially when i change my settings. Just in case..
