Problem with 2142, PLZ HELP ME!

Hi!

Just bought the 2142 and I couldnt wait to start the game. I installed it, and then ran it. The first intro with EA shows up, with the goliat that shoots, and then after this I think it is a intro video of some kind. But when this is suppose to start, the screen (or game) starts to glimmer. The screen is white.. and some other colors.. What can I do with this ? Tried to update with the 1.25 patch..

I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor 4600+
2 GB ram
GeForce 7900 GT/ GTO

Someone plz help me out there ?? !

How do you mean tried? did it patch or did it not complete patching?

I updated, it said confirmed at least :) But the problem still occur when I start the game.. I can switch to the desktop, and back to the game and I can see things, but after 15 secs, the screen goes white

by the way, I have Windows XP..

Do you have the latest Nvidia drivers for your card, or just the ones that came with it?

Because one of the first things to do if a new game looks weird is to update the drivers for your GFX card.

I have sp2.. and I downloaded the latest driver from nvidia.. I think. I got straight to something called Forceware I think. Maybe you have a link?

Forceware 162 seems to be the latest

I install that Forceware 162 several times.. not working with it.. What else can I do? Delete some cache files or something else maybe? I ****ing seek of not beeing able to play the game !¤"¤&/)=/&(/¤#%"!"!!!!

Sure, the cache files are under My Documents/Battlefield 2142/Mods/bf2142/Cache.
But if you don't even get into the login screen then they haven't been in use yet, since they are generated when you load the map.

Does it work with other 3D applications, like 3DMark06?

Try disabling the startup movies, see where that gets you

Maybe it's your video card?

Anyway, try reinstalling BF2142 and deleting all registry keys with the word "battlefield 2142" in it.

The score is not relevant, but 3DMark06 puts your card through a stress test, so if that had errors too it wouldn't be a BF2142 specific problem.
