    Multiple defib to revive?

I've noticed that sometime, pretty often actually, I would have to use the defib on someone twice, or even three times before they're revived (no I didn't miss the first 2 times). If they're down and takes additional damage does it require more than one defib to revive? I'm thinking yes since I see this a lot more when I'm reviving in the middle of being FRAG spammed.

Or is this just a glitch in the game?

Maybe if he was clipping into something and became unclipped before the successful revive.

Throw medpack on him to stop the clipping.

Thank Bommando for figuring that out.

Yeah def a clipping or lag issue. Defib always takes 1 hit to revive, otherwise it would be absolutely suicidal for medics to revive people in heavy combat zones.

I've seen the clipping when it's obvious like when the body is halfway into the wall and such but I guess that they can get clipped on smaller things too like maybe rocks, boxes, and bushes. I'll keep an eye out the next time I run into this.

What do you mean by this?... Do you mean literally throw the medpack on the body so the impact will move the body away from being clipped?

[EDIT] OK, I just found Bommando's thread about this in tips-n-trick which explains what's going on and how to resolve it:

Well, i almost never failed reviving. (only when tehy got stuck or i get killed before the defib makes that sound and resses him). But im pissed off of n00b medics who ress when standing, they try 1x or 2x and if they dont ress they leave, just hate that

Yea i use bommandos unclipping trick, works everytime.

Especially helpful for reviving downed SL's.

Sometimes there is a clipping issue with the terrain under the corpse, too. They might be partially clipped and non-revivable until your second or third attempt.

Whenever I give a first 'zap' and they don't revive, I immediately throw a medikit on them and 'zap' them again. That works 99.7% of the time.

I sometimes go for a running revive.

I learned it after getting owned in a match by TG.

                        How to:
                        1) Get defrib
                        2)Run
3)Hold down fire button while still running.
                        4)Release shift
5)Press shift again during the revive animation.

Keep in mind that it can be lag as well.

EDIT: Also, congrats noob4brkfst, 100 posts.

So it is less noob to get shot in the head because you stop moving and lay down for a quick nap near the corpse?

The secret of a successful medic is to spend minimal time in the killzone

Laying down to revive is a sure way for your enemy to get two kills after you revive. The best run is to sprint by and revive or if you have to throw the medic pack down do it while moving in a circle around the body. Never stay stationary long enough to become a target. Not to mention the defib has a little range. If you can revive from behind cover than that should be your first option.
