Can't install beta patch 1.40!

Ok I had patch 1.40 a while back but I uninstalled it. Today I wanted to play Highway Tampa so I tried reinstalling it. It tells me I already have a newer version installed!

I tried the fix that's in one of the support stickies. Same thing. Need your help guys...

I had it on and off a few times without problems, but I might have put on a clean image in between, which does change things a bit.

What is your status now, and how did you arrive there?

• Did you have both 1.25 and 1.40 installed at the same, or just 1.40?
• By uninstalling do you mean using the uninstaller, or just deleting the Beta folder?

And could you point to the fix you already tried, there is an awful lot of info in the stickies

1. I had both patches installed.

2. I don't remember, but I assume I uninstalled it using Add/remove programs.
