error message when edit .CON files

i am trying to make a small mod for me and my friends just for fun, but every time i try to save my edit i get a error message... :cussing::cussing:
it is
"connot create the C;\DOCUME~1\(my name)~1\LOCALS~1\temp\temporary directory 1 for soldiers_server.zip\common\common.con file.

make sure the path and filename are correct"

how can i solv this one?:wall:

What are you using to edit this file? It looks like you are opening the zip file and attempting to edit the file that way without extracting everything am I correct?

You will need to extract the entire zip file to a location on your hard drive then edit it, save it then repackage it.

ok then... i am using notepad, is that wrong? but i will take your advice, thanks. i extracted the files, still get the error...

hugh some people dont learn it xd right click on the file deselect read only and your ready to go
