can someone tell me how to turn off my personal account setting or whatever its called so i dont have to grand access everything i want to run BF2142 i had to restore it for something and now i want it off again

I think you may be talking about User Account Control (UAC). If so, go to control panel > user accounts > turn user account control on/off

Turning it off defeats the purpose of buy vista for security

No. Turn it off.. Otherwise you wasted your money on buying BF2142..

And plus they killed off the XP line
