i just had to reinstall 2142 about 3-4 day ago and ever since then i have had NO sound at all none at the bfhq or loading map or playing and when i go to my sound option and try to change the % of effects and stuff it will say "sound hardware is incompatible wiht the settings" and all the sttings are ALL the way down if any one knows what is going on plz help

Heya, if you're using a Creative X-Fi card then try changing it back to default settings by loading the Creative Audio Console (via the Start menu), picking the Restore Defaults tab, ticking the mode you normally select when you play BF2142 (Game mode for me) and then clicking the Restore Defaults button. -
Yeah if it is an X-Fi just make sure it is on "game mode".
If that doesnt work you could try deleting the relevant files from your 2142 folder in my documents. If your not sure what specifically you need to delete, just delete the whole 2142 folder in my documents (you will need to setup everything in the game again by doing this).Comment
