Need help re-installing BF2142!

I tried the 1.4 Beta for awhile, but there isn't a whole lot of servers to play on, so I un-installed BF2142 and re-installed it. I have EA-Link, so the 1.25 patch was in there and so was Northern Strike. I installed the 1.25 patch FIRST, and then Northern Strike, but then I kept on getting Punkbustered and the alert basically said not to use modified content.

So then I un-installed BF2142 and then re-installed it again, but this time I installed Northern Strike FIRST, and then the 1.25 patch. Now I keep getting Punkbustered and the PB alert doesn't even have a warning message on it.

Whenever I delete BF2142, do I have to delete some registry keys or something? The only other thing I can think of is whenever I install BF2143, I install Punkbuster with it, but I do not install the Gamespy Network. Do I have to install the Gamespy also?

How were you able to install NS without patching first? It requires that BF2142 is at least version 1.20 before it will install.

The correct way to install both is:

1. Install BF2142
2. Apply latest patch
3. Install NS
4. Apply latest patch
